The characters were realisitic and funny, the storyline was exciting and it was hard to put the book down. He has played with such diverse musicians as Stuart Hamm, Peter Erskine, Joe Pass, Joe Lovano, Randy Brecker, Stanley Clarke, the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Hopefully this book will help bring to light for a new generation of readers and Americans the struggles of the past in helping create the more open and integrated America of the present.
